The Hop-kiln is ideal for 2 couples wanting to explore the wonderful Welsh Marches countryside. It is close to Ludlow with all its renowned food shops, antique shops, restaurants and stunning medieval and Georgian listed buildings. In July there is Ludlow Festival with many events held including a play by Shakespeare performed in the castle. In September is the world famous Food Festival. Tenbury Wells is 2 miles away, an attractive market town, with a mistletoe market at the end of November and dubbed 'My town in the orchard' by Queen Victoria. The nearest shops are in Tenbury with a very good family run supermarket, excellent butchers and deli, 2 greengrocers, a wet fish shop and an ironmongers well worth a visit. There are a couple of pubs which serve very good food, and numerous other pubs to suit all tastes! There are also two very good restaurants, an Indian, takeaway Fish and Chips, Pizza and Kebabs. |

| It is wonderful walking country, with much variety, from rolling farmland, to the drama of Clee Hill and the tranquillity of Mortimer Forest. We can provide maps and information for many walks and there are guidebooks in the house. |
